March.1999  Shahram Sharbaf and Shahrokh Izadkhah write and record 'Darvish' in their home studio. Results are surprising: Rock music, Iranians scales and Hafez poetry. O-Hum is born.
 
April.1999  The second song named 'Deyre Moghan' is written. Babak Riahipour plays bass on demos and suggests to find a record deal for a full album.

A record deal is signed with 'Tanin Sot' company to record a full album. Shahram is told to write freely and not worry about Ershad.
 
July.1999  Recording sessions begin at Shahram's home studio in his apartment. The bathroom is being used to record guitar amps... Equipments: 166Mhz PC with Sound Blaster sound card.
 
August.1999
Traditional musicians Reza Abaee [Gheychak], Ali Rahimi [Daf] and Nima Mohandesan [Tar] join the team to play Iranian parts.
 
October.1999  11 tracks are recorded. The album is finished and called 'Nahal-e Heyrat'. Album master tape is handed over to 'Tanin Sot'. Album sleeve is designed by Zartosht Soltani.
 
November.1999
The album goes to Ershad for release permission. It's quickly rejected: Ershad says it doesn't meet their guide lines.

Shahram is told to modify and change several things and mix the album again to possibly get the release permission. He does so.
 
February.2000  Ershad rejects the album for 5th time. They say guitars should be removed, Saxophones out [no sax in original tracks!], song tempos go slower and another vocalist sing over..
 
April.2000  Record company cancels the deal and hands back the album to Shahram cause Ershad does not provide release permission. They even ask Shahram for a penalty. He pays back.
 
September.2000
The band have been trying to release the album individually but failed. Many connections have been made, but no good news yet.
 
November.2000  Shahram is confused and decides to launch a website and put the whole album online. Zartosht Soltani, an old friend and a great graphic artist begins to design the web site
 
January.2001  O-Hum's official site is launched. People begin to download the album. The band is shocked by the huge feedback from worldwide. Site server goes down under heavy downloads.
 
February.2001
O-Hum is being recognized as the first Iranian underground rock band. The underground movement has been born in Iran.
 
March.2001 
O-Hum plays its first concert at Russian's church in Tehran. 300 people attend the private gig and nearly bring the roof down.
 
July.2001
The band still tries to release the album or play official gigs but Ershad is angry because of their website, and the private concert.
 
October.2001
Shahram starts to write new songs for second album. Babak and Shahrokh are confused and tired of the situation with Ershad.
 
february.2002
O-Hum's in studio to record two singles. Aynee [Drums], Pedram Derakhshani [Baghlama] and Ali Rahimi [Daf] join the band.
 
March.2002  'Hafez in Love' singles are released through O-Hum.com. More than 15,000 downloads are logged during the first week. The last songs recorded with original O-Hum lineup.
 
June.2002
Shahrokh and Babak decide to quit the band. Shahrokh moves to Canada and Babak prefers to go solo and work as a studio player.
 
November.2002
O-Hum is nearly over. Shahram decides to give a break and focus on his life and personal activities. He prepares to leave Iran.
 
July.2003  Shahram leaves Iran to Vancouver\Canada. He's been producing and engineering several albums and concerts for other musicians during this period.
 
November.2003
After 7 months, Shahram returns to Tehran. He plans to start O-Hum again as a solo project. He gathers a live band and rehears.
 
December.2003  'Darvish' video clip is released at O-Hum.com and receives a huge feedback from fans. Zartosht Soltani has produced and directed the video. Arash Bigdeli acted az Darvish.
 
March.2004 
O-Hum is invited to play at House of Culture in Berlin. A couple of other gigs are also scheduled for Hamburg [Fabrik] and Rostock.
 
April.2004  O-Hum plays in Germany. Babak Riahipour [Bass], Kasra Ebrahimi [Drums], Babak Akhoondi [Guitar] and Reza Abaee [Cheychak] back up Shahram on stage.
 
September.2004
With the great feedback received from Germany, Shahram warms up to record a full O-Hum album. He starts to write new songs.
 
December.2004  O-Hum plays UNAIDS charity show in Tehran. Kasra Ebrahimi [Drums], Yahya [Drums], Peter Akop [Bass], Reza Abaee [Gheychak] and Moni Safikhani [Air Guitar] join Shahram.
 
February.2005  Shahrokh Izadkhah [Guitar], Kasra Ebrahimi [Drums], Kasra Saboktakin [Bass], Reza Abaee [Gheychak], Pasha Hanjani [Nay] and Ali Rahimi [Daf] will play in new album.
 
August.2005
Recording sessions are nearly done. After a shot break, Shahram begins to mix the album. Zartosht Soltani designs the CD sleeve.
 
December.2005
'Aloodeh' the second full album from O-Hum is released by 'Bamahang' worldwide. The album receives a warm welcome.
 
January.2006
O-Hum is featured in documentary movie 'The Sound of Silence'. The movie is focused on Iranian underground music scene in Iran.
 
March.2006
'Aloodeh' is being sold on Itunes as the first album by an Iranian underground rock band. Bamahang refuses to pay Shahram's right.
 
May.2006
'Darde Eshgh' from Aloodeh is released in a Persian music selection CD among tracks by Mr. Shajarian and Hossein Alizadeh.
 
September.2006  O-Hum will play in first Underground Festival in Amsterdam. The lineup includes Arash Moghadam [Drums], Kasra Saboktakin [Bass], Reza Abaee and Babak Akhoondi [Guitar].
 
October.2006  O-Hum plays in Amsterdam.The band also plays at Hamburg Film Festival prior the screening of 'The Sound of Silence'.Iranian Rapper 'Reveal' raps with O-Hum at 'Waggenbau'.
 
January.2007  Shahram announces he is making 'E-Hum', a remix album of O-Hum most popular songs in various styles such as Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Psycho and Dance.
 
March.2007  Two singles from the remix album are available for download at O-Hum.com. The album is due to be released in spring 2007 but is delayed due to an upcoming trip to united states.
 
June.2007
Shahram flies to United states to attend a cultural program dedicated to Rumi anniversary. He will also play a gig in New York.
 
July.2007  Shahram and the American guitarist 'Dave Elenbogen' play an acoustic set at Joe's Pub in New York. He also records a new song at Stratosphere studios with Producer\DJ Ricky James.
 
October.2007
The remix album is nearly done and is in mixing stage. The album will be available only as a digital download at Itunes and Ioda.
 
April.2008  O-Hum's new website is launched. New site has been designed by Zartosht Soltani, the man behind all O-Hum's visual stuff since the early days. This is the 5th version of O-Hum.com to this moment.
   
June.2008  Shahram moves to Berlin\Germany to stay and work in Europe. An electronic gig is planned for mid august while several other musical projects are on the way. You can read his diaries at O-Hum weblog.
